Pope Benedict XVI is GUILTY!

As is Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada.

No joking.  Well, at least in the minds of those in the International Tribunal Into Crimes of Church and State - that would be the ITCCS, who has shown today that get enough kooks and a domain name, and you can play international court.  Emphasis on the word play.

Pope Benedict will go to jail for twenty five years for his role in Crimes against Humanity, and Vatican wealth and property is to be seized, according to today's historic verdict of the International Common Law Court of Justice.

The Brussels-based Court handed down a unanimous guilty verdict from its Citizen Jurors and ordered the citizens' arrest of thirty Defendants commencing March 4 in a Court Order issued to them today.

The verdict read in part,

"We the Citizen Jury find that the Defendants in this case are guilty of the two indictments, that is, they are guilty of committing or aiding and abetting Crimes against Humanity, and of being part of an ongoing Criminal Conspiracy"

The Jury ruled that each Defendant receive a mandatory twenty five year prison sentence without parole, and have all their personal assets seized.

The Court went on to declare in its Order No. 022513-001,

"The Defendants are ordered to surrender themselves voluntarily to Peace Officers and Agents authorized by this COURT, having been found Guilty as charged.

"The Defendants have seven days from the issuing of this ORDER, until March 4, 2103, to comply. After March 4, 2013, an International Arrest Warrant will be issued against these Defendants".

Wow.  I bet His Holiness is packing his bags now to meet that March 4th deadline, lest one of those International Arrest Warrants land on his desk.  Oh wait, that's right - he won't be at his old desk anymore.

The "citizen jury" found - remarkably! - all other defendants guilty as well - unanimously, go figure! - who include the Queen of England and the Canadian Prime Minister.

I had to laugh at this:

None of the Defendants challenged or disputed a Public Summons issued to them last September; nor did they deny the charges made against them, or offer counter evidence to the Court.

"Their silence told me a lot. Why wouldn't innocent people defend their own reputation when accused of such horrible things?" commented one Juror, based in England.

Um . . . because you are a fictional court based in fantasy?  Assuming they even know anything about you?

Now, the brainchild behind all this is one Kevin Annett (above), who describes himself on Facebook thusly:

My english name is Kevin Annett. My Onkwehonwe (Mohawk) name is Rawennatshani (Powerful Voice). I am an adopted member of that nation and a proud Free Man on the Land. My roots are Gaelic and my name Caoimhin Ui Niall comes from my homeland of Eire ("Ireland") and our noble clan the O'Neills. I am a proud father of three wonderful young women - that's one of them, Elinor, in the photo with me. I am working with an international movement of freedom fighters to bring down genocidal corporate institutions of church and state, and reclaim the earth as sovereign men and women. Join us!

When the creator of "Catholic Memes," Ryan Scheel, unearthed him as the author of Internet rumors that Pope Benedict XVI was resigning because his crimes were about to be exposed, Annett even responded, saying:

This was no concoction. People in 15 countries are acting on the Vercidt posted today at itccs.org . Citizen arrest warrants are being made out as we speak. Check your facts before throwing mud, folks.  [sic]

What do we take away from this?  How about this:  while we can laugh, there are those who are so desperate to believe that they will actually think this is true.  The Devil is subtle that way - he looks for the chinks in the minds of the mentally unstable.

I am reminded by this of G. K. Chesterton's famous quote:  "When people stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing -- they believe in anything."

Even madness like this.

Pray for these poor souls.
