It is finally here.
Let me tell you something. In the past, I have fought for clients in a courtroom to get them a judgment they like. Only to find out later that they have not followed through on enforcing it. They get complacent. They let things "slide." And eventually, they lose the ability to have their order stand.
Same with voting. If you are an American citizen, casting a vote in this year's election - with all that is at stake - is both a privilege AND a duty. I heard on the radio the other day that many people do not vote because they either do not want the responsibility of electing someone who might make bad decisions or because they do not want to face the disappointment if their guy loses. GROW UP! Now is NOT the time to allow such childish notions to keep you from casting a vote.
A couple of tips -
- Be careful. Don't rush things but take the time to ensure your ballot reflects your desired vote before you hit the final button.
- Don't listen to the pundits if they try to call the race before night falls. If you are on the West Coast, if you are in Hawaii or Guam, get up and go vote.
And one last thing -
CLEAR EYES, FULL HEARTS, CAN'T LOSE!
