And no, it is not an accidental spelling of "dim."
I have seen this picture too many times to pass without a remark. This past week, the USA lost one of the heroes of my lifetime, astronaut Neil Armstrong. There is a story to his moon landing that affected me personally as an 8-year-old child when it happened, but that is for another day.
But what is aggravating i this "tribute" by Obama as President of the United States - a tweet featuring . . . a picture of himself. And not even a good picture of, say, the POTUS gazing at space from a recognizable spot, say, the White House to symbolize all Americans. No, it's the moment he took time on an airstrip somewhere, with the freaking parking lot in the background, to shove his hands in his pockets (a popular pose, along with his damn feet on the desk in the Oval Office), and look up as if to suggest, "Oh, Neil Armstrong died? Huh . . . so, what are the polls saying this morning about Ohio . . .?"
And, eerily, something I did not realize until I read the brilliant Stilton this morning - which you should as well - is that he is gazing upon a sky with a crescent moon and star, which happens to be the symbol of Islam. And remember, this man scuttled manned flights for NASA but made one of its priorities "to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math and engineering."
I cannot wait to vote this narcissist out of office in November.
