When I was a little girl, I loved the stories of Greek and Roman mythology. I especially liked the goddess Artemis/ Diana, the virgin huntress, because she always had her pack of dogs with her.
This morning I got to walk in my woods with my own, joined by two Labradors - Marty (pictured here) and Lily - visiting this weekend from New York. Six dogs! And five being larger breeds! Watching them play (and three are juveniles, meaning the rough housing is nothing less than epic) has an amazing effect on stress levels. Dogs are such wonderful creatures!
As I write this, they are all tired out and I am surrounded by sleeping dogs. Let them lie. They've earned their naps.
