Today's Question: Secession

If the United States were to have a secessionist movement - just as we did in 1860 and I have my doubts as to whether it would necessarily be followed by a civil war, since I don't see anyone in the blue states willing to pick up a weapon to defend the union - are you happy where you are?

And, if not - where would you go?

Just curious, so for any member of DHS who visits my blog, no, I am not advocating armed insurrection.

Answers can be posted here anonymously.

For the record, I am happy to be where I am should the US split apart.

Pretty much any state without a mandatory motorcycle helmet law that is largely republican (not the rino variety)and has moderate temps.

I'd stick here--If I liked the way local politics went, I would be fine, and if the State made a Bsd Choice, I'd make myself into a pain in the neck!

For the most part I'm happy here. Right now things aren't great bc we're majority ruled by dems thanks to straight party ticket voting but I'm hanging tight to see if things change. If not and we did secede I would not stay here, I would go westward.

".. are you happy where you are?" California - 'nuff said.

"And, if not - where would you go?"

Tennessee sounds interesting.

Except for the tornadoes. Indiana is a great place to be. Lots of corn, friendly folks, and a relatively low cost of living. And I will take the tornadoes over the libs who live on both coasts....it's easier in the long run to clean up after the tornadoes!

South Carolina, if Ohio becomes blue again!

Then again, Texas always looks good!
