When God Speaks, I Have to Listen

For reasons known to me, my heart is heavy today, and the reversal of the Komen Foundation does not help.

I have been trying to read the Divine Office each day, if only to get to the Office of Readings and Lauds.  I look at it each day as a conversation with God.  I pray it for my intentions, and for those who cannot or will not pray it.

What did God say to me today?

If this had been done by an enemy

I could bear his taunts.
If a rival had risen against me,
I could hide from him.

But it is you, my own companion,
my intimate friend!
How close was the friendship between us.
We walked together in harmony
in the house of God.

I heard you, Lord.  Thank you.
