Kudos to the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a leader in fundraising for breast cancer research and famous worldwide for its iconic pink ribbon, said Tuesday that it was halting all partnerships with Planned Parenthood affiliates because of recently adopted criteria that forbid it from funding any organization under government investigation.

Let's say the foundation did do this because of "political pressure" . . . so what?  So perhaps the pro-choice crowd does not realize how large the pro-life numbers are and that perhaps we pro-lifers truly reflect what a majority of Americans feel?

If you think Planned Parenthood is wonderful, this will not affect your donation to that organization, will it?  I am just happy to see the emotional blackmail end, that people who are pro-life want to also help their loved ones with breast cancer, but not do so if it means the innocent are slaughtered.  If anything, this should raise donations to SGK and they will be able to fund programs that do the same as Planned Parenthood - who does not have a monoply on screenings and other cancer preventive care - without compromising ethics.

Write to the foundation and thank them:  news@komen.org

And if you're wondering what Planned Parenthood spends your dollars on?

Interesting - the super hero tells the kids to call her Dionysus.  Dionysus was the Greek god of  "the grape harvest, winemaking and wine, of ritual madness and ecstasy."  In short . . . drunken orgies.
