I Guess Saying "God" in Washington DC is the Same As Yelling "Fire!" in a Crowded Theater

I was a chaperone at an all-night party, hosted by the Diocese of Knoxville for our high school youth. So I was not at my desk to receive any alarm. Did they rescind the 1st Amendment when I wasn't looking?!

Father Wilde and the other protesters, including the Rev. Pat Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition, were cited for "Failure to obey a lawful order” as they knelt in prayer in front of the White House. They each paid a $100 fine and were released from custody.
Evidently, the mention of the Lord before the White House has a deleterious effect . . . should anyone within hear it, I guess. Thank God they did not think to throw Holy Water - the sizzle would have been deafening.

I am curious. If a tourist from Saudi Arabia is admiring the home of the POTUS - perhaps thinking about the renovations he might make should he ever have the occasion to buy it, and suddenly the "muezzin alarm" goes off on his smartphone, signaling it is one of the five times during the day his Muslim faith demands he unroll the prayer rug and get to it . . . would any cop stop him?

Who wants to take that bet?
