Prayer for the baby's soul, prayer for the mother's soul (God knows who she is), and prayer for our own because seeing things like this can allow a crack and despair to seep in.
At the end of this month, I will be going to the annual March for Life in Washington DC. I recently spoke of people who criticize Tim Tebow for his public acknowledgment of his Christianity, saying that they should look at what he believes lest their mockery be without foundation. Sadly, my support of the pro-life movement has such a foundation, as I once had an abortion. I have received, through the Church, absolution from the sin but I feel my on-going act of penance - which I accept gladly - is to fight for the dignity of the unborn. So, for those who might say, "You don't know what it's like . . ." - yes, I do.
Look at the emptiness of the baby clothes.
