This is a shot I took of the main altar in the crypt of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.
This is a technique called High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. I auto-bracketed three exposures (handheld, without a tripod) and then blended them to create this picture.
It is very beautiful and serene in the crypt.

Beautiful isn't it? Don't know how much time you all have there in DC but I recomend Air and Space Museum on the mall and the one out at Dulles Airport. I also recomend checking out other Smithsonion Museums on the Mall while your there in that area. National Archives is cool too. Arlington is very moving. greg (gsebes)
I used to love going to mass down in the crypt when my girlfriend (now wife) was attending CUA. It's really beautiful down there, really brings you closer to God.
