I love visiting cemeteries. I don't find them morbid or sad - in fact, when I see a simple country cemetery where graves, both recent and old, are decorated, it cheers me. People evidently come often to visit their folk and as I have said before, death is not tragic, but being forgotten is.
In the past when I have gone to Hatfield Knob in Campbell County, Tennessee, I have seen a turn off down a gravel road, with a hand-lettered sign reading, "Peabody Cemetery." So oday I went up and did some late afternoon shots.
