How's the weather?

I tend to get questions from my California friends, "How's the weather in Tennessee?  Is it cold yet?"  I sense that they get a perverse sensation learing that in the "hollers" the cold settles and so this morning the temperature gauge on my car read 37 degrees.

Folsk, it gets warmer during the day.  And when it is cold . . . put on more clothing.  Spend $1.99 on a pair of extra gloves at Walmart that you can keep in the ar.

I am still amazed, though - don't children feel cold?  I saw a young lady walking to the school bus stop this morning in naught but jeans, a t-shirt- and a hoodie . . . and even then, the hoodie was not zipped up all the way.  Hardy breed, these East Tennesseans!

The view from my driveway this morning.

Have you met any Crocketts? - I really like Davey Crockett. Can you pick up a coonskin cap for me Digi?

We live in MI, and my kids rarely wear a winter coat. They tend more toward layering, but even then, unless we're outside for an extended length of time, no coats. I always say it's not cold until it's a single digit.
