With that short message sent out by her support team to Twitter followers all over the world, marathon swimmer Diana Nyad announced early Tuesday the end of her second bid to swim from Cuba to the Florida Keys.
So what? Diana has proven herself many times to be a champion marathon swimmer and the fact that she got almost halfway - that's 45 miles - at the age of 61 is something to crow about. From all of us who grew up watching your feats - brava, carissima!

She's amazing! I'm so excited and proud of her. She was an idol of mine in the 70's. She is a role model for me still since I have intention of slowing down. She shows us we can do it.
