I enjoyed watching these girls show their cattle - they led these beasts around as though they were puppy dogs. Tough country women.

For the Photoshop geeks:  did a conversion from RAW, which I shoot almost exclusively.  Used a slight High Pass filter to add a smidge of sharpening.  Used a duplicate layer with Screen blending option, added a "hide all" layer mask to that, then painted back in where I wanted to catch highlights, such as the girl's hair, her knuckles, and the cow's eye.  I then converted the whole thing to the LAB color space, duplicated that, equalized it under adjustments, lay it over the flattened image and used a Soft Light blending mode to expand the dynamic range of the image.  I then duplicated the equalized layer and verlaid it over everything with an opacity of 20%, then "painted out" the girl's hair again to bring depth back . . . got all that?
