Westboro Baptist Church Protest

The Westboro Baptist Church had announced that it was going to picket the performance of "The Laramie Project" in the Artist Village of downtown Santa Ana, California. Between 200 to 300 people turned out to counterprotest but alas, the WBC turned tail and never showed up.

However, if you would like to see my hastily processed set of photos from tonight, go check out my Flickr set for it.

You know what, I don't care how you feel about homosexual behavior. (A) They are still human beings, (b) Matthew Shepherd did not deserve his gruesome end, and (c) the Westboro Baptist Church is odious.

Yep they are odious and Fred Phelps is a registered Democrat who previously ran for office.

By the way you might be biting the media disinformation on Matthew Shephard. He was killed by a meth addict during a robbery. One of the two murderers was a bisexual. The murder had nothing to due with Shephard's same-sex attraction which even 20/20 later showed. Shepard asked the two men to give him a ride home because he was too drunk and he was beaten to death for what turned out to be $30 dollars in his wallet.

It was certainly a tragedy as all murders are - but it had nothing to do with homosexuality in any way.

Thank you, Jeff - I appreciate the information. Even under those circumstances - as it is with all murder victims - Matthew and others don't deserve to have their lives cut short, especially in such a fashion.

Phelps is insane; I reserve my distaste for his daughter, Shirley, who is simply evil.

Don't worry about my opinion.

Listen to God. We should only care about what God demands of us.

Sodom and Gamorrah was God demonstrating His anger at the sin that cries out to Heaven for revenge. God is not tolerant and does not celebrate diversity.

Not all those killed were homosexual; many sympathizers were destroyed also.

God has determined man is sinful by nature. He becomes angry to punishment when people do not resist sin.

We need to rebuke homosexuals strongly: "I refuse to be an accomplice to your sin."

"Depart from us, you Satan!"
