The authorities do not know exactly how many people have been killed warbling “My Way” in karaoke bars over the years in the Philippines, or how many fatal fights it has fueled. But the news media have recorded at least half a dozen victims in the past decade and includes them in a subcategory of crime dubbed the “My Way Killings.”
According to the story, crooners at karaoke bars that choose to do "My Way" often meet unfortunate results from other patrons, whether because they did not do it justice or because it is considered too much "in-your-face". And I will guess that alcohol has something to do with it.
Is there a song that inspires you to violence if you were about three drinks in and someone staggered to the machine and started belting it out, off-key or not?
Let me start the list: John Lennon's "Imagine."
Oh, but wait - Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath My Wings."
And Jefferson Starship's, "We Built This City."

I would love hearing Barracks Yomomma sing "My Way." I'd also truly enjoy watching his funeral while eating an extra large bowl of buttered popcorn and drinking a bottle of Single Malt Scotch. BTW,you may assume I don't care much for the bastard and if so, you would be correct.
Should anyone attempt to karioki CCR's "Proud Mary" in my presence, they will be summarily dispatched.
Barney's "I Love You, You Love Me..."
junior - that was my hubby's song to me..............I love it....

That story just makes me sad. Frank should be appreciated, loudly, badly and often, so that he is NEVER forgotten!!
But I'm with you on the Imagine(aka-the socialist/stoners manifesto).
