US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said she will travel to Haiti on Saturday to see earthquake relief efforts first hand, deliver supplies and meet Haitian President Rene Preval.All accounts point to a country on the brink of collapse and one where the relief effort - that would be getting FOOD AND WATER to the survivors - is severely hampered by the devastation . . . so let's send in a major US political figure requiring security and sure to bring along her own entourage requiring thet same FOOD AND WATRE the survivors do.
Dumbass. Stay home. If MSNBC correspondents can broadcast from the airport and bitch about how they have to sleep outdoors, then you can call President Preval on the phone.
But send the supplies, okay?

I thought exactly the same thing when I read that this morning. Her stupid plane will just be cluttering up an airport with only one landing area. What a dope!

Mrs. Clinton is going to Haiti to shake things up on distribution of donated items.
The red tape and theft is outrageous. Know why the U.N. workers haven't been dug out? There is no protocol for the permissible rescue of non-governmental foreing observers who might or might not be dead after having tons of building material fall upon them. The U.N. Committee called for issueing a new directive to determine whether the U.N. workers are in the rubble will convene in October.
Mrs Clinton will apply a little boot to the ass, so to speak.
I don't like her or her liberal, homo, lesbian pals, but she gets the job done.

I've never understood why people spend all this money to go to devastated areas "to see for themselves." Turn on the news and send the money you'd have spent on a plane ticket for relief supplies instead!
