Maybe It's All That Herring They Eat

Denmark is proud of its image as one of the greenest countries in the world; it's probably why it was chosen as the site of the 15th United Nations Conference on Climate Change.

But beneath the gloss lurk some inconvenient truths, including the fact that, pound for pound,
Denmark produces more trash per capita than any other country in the 27-member European Union.
Well, it is all about image, isn't it? After all, if we can't expect scientists to produce the real data, I don't think we need to worry too much about whether Denmark is really green. I mean, look at the carbon footprint generated just to fly in these delegates, including Air Force One.
BTW, when I lived there in 1989 - 1991, Switzerland had one of the highest rate of AIDS due, in part, to the proclivities of Swiss men to go on "sex tours" in Thailand.
Strudel, anyone?

Strudel? Yep, when can I get it? Oh yeah, and I was in Copenhagen while in the Army back in the day. Fun place and Tivoli Gardens was da kine. OK, now how about that strudel?
