Chris Matthews is a Fucktard

Please excuse my language. Tourette's runs in my family, you know, so it might not be entirely my fault. But perhaps I have enough justification with this POS drivel:
On last night's Hardball - which my doctor has prohibited me from wathcing due to my blood pressure - Chris "I Got a Tingle in My Leg for You, Barry!" Matthews had one two skanks journalists, Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker and Salon’s Joan Walsh . The topic was the former's latest column in which she likens Sarah Palin to "a white character in Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mocking Bird who falsely accuses a black man of raping her, leading to his false conviction and death in prison."
Now, I've read To Kill a Mockingbird and the woman in question is a person who has been horribly abused by her father, completely demeaned by her family, and falsely accuses a Black neighbor of rape after he rejects her advances, which were largely motivated by her extreme isolation in her family. Big huge giant m*****-f***ing leap from that character to the college-educated former governor of Alaska and vice-presidential candidate, but okaaaaaayyyyy . . .
Then Chris "Is That Your Teleprompter, Mr. Obama, Or Are You Just Happy to See Me?" Matthews opens his pie hole to say:
Here`s a quote that really grabbed me: “That same rage was on display again in the fall of 2008, but this time the frenzy was stimulated by a pretty gal with a mocking little wink. Sarah Palin may not have realized what she was doing. But southerners, weaned on Harper Lee, heard the dog whistle.” Kathleen, “heard the dog whistle.” Is Sarah Palin a poster girl for racism? Yes or no?
Wait . . . what?!?
What do you think Parker said?
Parker suggested that Palin is indeed a “poster girl for racism,” though “not consciously,” and alluded to white racism being incited by a white woman and black man being pitted against each other, as in Sarah Palin versus Barack Obama, or in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird.
Liberals . . . taking the "intelligent" out of "intelligentsia" since God knows when . . .
You cannot get any more stupid than this.

There was racism, but on the panel not in Pallin. They are the ones who insist on seeing everything in terms of race (at least when they can use it as a cudgel to beat their opponents).

On a side note; Digi you have to learn to express your feelings. It is unhealthy to keep them bottled up.

DW, this is why you need to "swim the Tiber" (it's an expression meaning converting to Catholicism). Our priests have a wicked sense of humor. Or Fr. Erik is just wicked. One of the two. Whatever.

At dinner the other night, Fr. John extended his invite to attend services at St. Joe's.

1How sweet is he? Well, let's pick a date and make it happen! Check 8/23 on your calendar.

DW, no, let's do it after the beginning of September. From 8/18 to 9/5, the good Father JMP will be in SA-moa (ya gotta say it like that) as a guest of our SA-moan community.

OK - you choose 9/20 or 9/13. I definitely do not want to miss my opportunity to meet "in person" the good Padre.
