School's Out

A judge refused Tuesday to reinstate a University of Colorado professor who was fired on plagiarism charges after he likened some Sept. 11 terrorist attack victims to a Nazi leader.

If it stands, the ruling means Ward Churchill cannot return to the classroom even though he won a lawsuit in April arguing that his firing was politically motivated.
STG, sometimes I think it is better for my kids to leave high school and go straight to work without ever going to college, so long as they could wind up with pricks like Ward Churchill. I hope this ruling holds.

My boyfriend is a few years younger than me and never went to college. He's more mature, more responsible, and less complicated than college-educated men I've dated who are 10 years older than him. I wouldn't trade him for the world. I really think his harder life was better for him than my college experience was for me, in spite of the fact that I went to a Christian college.
