I Got a Title for You, Babs

Brig. Gen. Michael Walsh, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was testifying on the Louisiana coastal restoration process in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. He began to answer one of Boxer's questions with "ma'am" when Boxer immediately cut him off.

"Yes, ma'am," Walsh interjected.

"It's just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title, so I'd appreciate it, yes, thank you," she said.
"Yes, senator," he responded.
What a maroon. In the military, we were trained to use the terms "ma'am" and "sir" without thought. What a complete lack of class on the part of Barbara Boxer.

She is a senator, and perhaps, if she worked on it, she may someday become a lady too. [What a jackass! These people are really clueless.]

It seems that Senators and Congressmen are just loaded with contempt for the rest of us and have no fear of hiding it.

Worked hard? Not something that I have ever associated with the Senate.

I know, Fr. E. that "worked hard" is risible. Her hubby bought her the seat! Just like old man Kennedy bought Ted his seat. A friend of mine had a good idea. In order to "win" past two terms, you have to win by an increasingly larger percentage of the vote. i.e. 55% for the third & 4th term, 60% for 5th term. Don't know that I entirely agree with it but there has to be a way to get these bastards out who screw up the rest of their country.

I think that BOTH of them had her title wrong...

Shouldn't it be "madam"?

Uhhh, you were elected, bone-head. You didn't work hard at anything but promoting yourself and trying to convince people that you weren't lying.

For Brig. Gen. Walsh...What a class act to sit there and take that kind of abuse and pull out the M-16 and...well...you know the rest. Glaring difference in how they were raised, isn't it? The General was respectful and the senator was a POS.

...oops! meant to say NOT pull out the M-16....Guess it was just wishful thinking....Am I gonna get audited now?
