“It’s great to have a private jet. Anyone that tells you that having your own private jet isn’t great is lying to you.”
Sure, Oprah. Oh, I have a man who loves me and who has been my husband for 13 years, and I have two healthy and smart kids.
I spent tonight with my 11-year-old at her meeting of the Southern California Herpetological Association, learning about breeding colubrids. My son made his 1st Holy Communion last Saturday.
Sunday night, a friend and I went and saw Star Trek, and we were dressed comfortably - no red carpet there! - and enjoyed the movie together.
On Mother's Day, I raised over $1600 selling roses to benefit birth centers in Orange County. I guess you can just write a check, but then you miss that personal interaction, you know?
You should have tasted my husband's pulled pork that he made on Saturday. Delicious! He loves to cook and doesn't mind if I carry a few extra pounds on the hips because of it.
I renewed my Disneyland pass. It's a luxury, but the kids and I like to pop over spontaneously and spend time running around. It keeps me young, you know.
How you doing there, O-girl?

Digi,
You should be nominated fer "MoM'o'da Year!"
And Oprah, well, the "O" can go suck rocks for all I care about what she sez or does.
I hope Oprah is happy with her life. I wouldn't trade places with her for anything.
Money's nice, but the great thing about not being wealthy is that I know my husband's not just with me for the money.
Mansions and jets are nice, but I never have to worry about whether my friends are just using me.
I wouldn't mind having more money and more luxuries, but not at the price she pays. (Which, I'm sure, is what Digi was alluding to.)
Like I said, I hope she's happy.
Digi has it completely right....down and real, it's Health and Family and Love.
And the ocassional Colubridae.
I'm guessing Milksnakes, not Boomslangs?
Digi - Dear Friend - YOUR life is blessed.............and you are smart enough to know it.
Good for you - YOU alone deserve all our happiness.
All I know is that I want to go see Oprah live. Maybe she'll give everyone in the audience a new jet! By the way, I'm sure her private jet leaves NO carbon footprint.
