Just before his ceremony for his 1st Holy Communion, Patrick's teacher placed him against the wall of the aprish hall for a picture. Her flash went off just as I took the shot, "blowing out" the highlights.
So what? Convert to black-and-white and now I have something that reminds me of a mug shot or a paparazzi style photo.
My son looks like an all-American kid. Don't let that charm of a smile fool you. He was excited about making his Communion, as well as the new Transformers he got. So much so for the latter, last night he solemnly asked our pastor to bless them (and Fr. John did, naturally).
