This is f***ing whack and should not be allowed.
A controversial German anatomy artist is facing protests over his latest plastination exhibition after unveiling a work showing two corpses having sexual intercourse. The exhibition has drawn angry protests from a cross-party group of politicians as well as church representatives. They have called for the work to be withdrawn, saying it is pornographic and an insult to the dead.Von Hagens developed the plastination method several years ago after discovering a method for preserving bodies by replacing their fat and water deposits with injections of silicon, which then harden. The man and woman consented to appear in a sexual pose, Von Hagens said.
Excuse my language, but I hate this plastination shit. It isn't "art," it's pure voyeurism and cheap thrills. If people want to donate their bodies for medical reasons, and especially to train the next generation of healers, I am all for that. But this is not art and it is disrespectful.
This guy pissed me off in past exhibits when he plastinated pregnant corpses, showing the fetus - also dead - in the womb. How he got those bodies is chilling speculation, because I am hard pressed to think of a woman signing a consent form while still alive and carrying a child.
*shiver!*
Who wants to guess what is next from Herr Von Hagens? I'm guessing a reenactment of the scene on Calvary done with corpses.

I agree with you.
Well, being a nurse, I've seen a few bodies, and many body parts. When in school and learning, we had cadavers and disected them to learn about the body. I can see that plastination seems weird to most people, but to me, it just seems like an interesting way to learn more about the human body.
But to have them in an act of sexual intercours--why--just for pure voyeurism like you said--that's just plain sick and wrong.
wHEN HE DIES, METHINKS HE SHOULD BE "PLASTINATED".....
His head up his a$$.

If the bodies were being used for genuine, useful research and education, that'd be one thing. But these bodies are being exhibited "just because". Also, if I remember correctly, there's some speculation that some of the bodies were condemned Chinese criminals.
