For most of today, I had as my Facebook status, "Stephanie . . . hopes Wanda Sykes' kidneys fail."

Ms. Sykes told a joke in which she said that Rush Limbaugh had the same view as Osama bin Ladn, and then added Obama ought to look further into it "because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker."

Oh, she also said she hoped Rush Limbaugh's kidneys fail, hence my Facebook status.

Nothing like 9/11-themed humor, I always say. I'm sure sitting on Long Island somewhere is a widower just chuckling at that, and thinking how he got to bury a piece of thigh bone of his wife, because that's all they found from Tower 2 where she worked on the 86th floor.

Shits and giggles, folks.

The White House is keeping its distance from an entertainer's joke comparing commentator Rush Limbaugh to a terrorist.

Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs on Monday was asked for President Barack Obama's reaction to the joke by comic actress Wanda Sykes at Saturday's White House Correspondents' Association dinner. Obama took part in the event.

Gibbs said the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks is a topic "better left for serious reflection than comedy."
