I Immigrated from New York, Myself
I was listening to the Associated Press radio news while driving to court and they decribed Obama's pick for the US Supreme Court as being the child of "Puerto Rican immigrants."
You would be amazed at the number of people who think that Puerto Ricans are not citizens. You might think that the Spanish American War never happened, or that its sole purpose was to find a cure for yellow fever (which it did!)
AP don't need no stinkin' facts! Don't confuse them!
By the way, you technically "emigrated from" NY, and "immigrated to" CA. However, you (much like the media) may have a pass on proper English, geography, etc.
