Childhood Sexual Abuse PSA

This PSA, produced in the UK, was brought to my attention. It drives home the message that those who have suffered sexual abuse during their childhood still live with the trauma in the absence of help or counseling. I can imagine that even with such help, the terror remains.
DISCLAIMER
This video does not graphically portray abuse; however, it is very effective in that it is very uncomfortable, disturbing and creepy, at least in my opinion. Thus, you should view this at your own risk or question whether another person should be shown this. But it is very hard-hitting and creative in its approach.

As a Christian man, a step-father and a brother to sisters, I find it more than disturbing. I find it offensive.

What I see is that the intimation of physical contact constitutes potential sexual abuse.

As a male teacher to children in the age group when hormones are going bezerk'o'nutz....6th/7th/8th grades...I had to be hyper-vigilant as to how I interacted with them.

I watched one male teacher lose his job because two girls hated him and intimated that he was acting inappropriately. He was a Milquetoast! If he was abusive....I'll eat my fishin' hat! (And that is a nasty proposition!)

That being said...I know that abuse does occur and possibly at a higher percentage than is ever reported. I have seen the consequences all too close to home.

However, I question the motives of folks who made it. I need to do some research.

Oh, sigh. This makes me so sad, because, we start in the world as sweet innocence--born into a world where Satan is allowed to bring destructive evil into our lives. Satan takes the little child, and hurts them--permeates, tramatizes, paralyzes their delicate little psyche with shame.

And I agree with the clip, if they do not get help as a child, they will carry the trauma with them for life, but even if they get help, no one can ever really undo all the harm.

Oh, I wasn't strong enough to watch that clip, I should have listened to the warning--but my curiosity--oh, sigh, cry. :(

I did not watch it - but I can tell you, even with help, one carries the effects into old age. Without help, it is worse. Sexual abuse kills.

Okay - so now I watched it - just as I said.

Can't watch it Digi. I have a weak stomach and no tolerance for evil things involving children.

I know - I know - - - rose colored glasses and all.

A dear friend of mine was sexually abused and when they told me (revealed when already an adult), it left a sick feeling in my stomach. I cannot think about the abuser without a subdued rage bubbling in me.
