You get there on time at the parish hall where everyone is to gather before the 1st Holy Communion ceremony . . . but no one else does. Little boys don't "do" waiting.
Oh. My. I remember the interminale WAITING. WAITING. We had tobe there at 6:30 a.m. at least an HOUR before Mass. I can remember the wait better than the Mass! [Thanks, sisters!] [I DO* remember bits of the Mass, especially going up and recieving the Host. We got to kneel on the top altar step in the sanctuary in front of the tabernacle. We had 3rd grade girls with "wings" acting as angels to escort us 4 at a time.]
