Take My Picture, Stephanie Richer!

So I came home tonight and when I walked into my home office, I saw sitting on my desk . . . a brand new Canon 50D DSLR as an early birthday present from my husband!
Here is an example of one of the first pictures I took. Low light with the ISO pushed to 6400 and a low resolution save for the Internet . . . even then, look at the quality.
This is, of course, the Future Father Patrick, Himself.

I wonder if he's eligible to replace Brown or Mahony?

I am chartreuse with envy! I have my software programs, but need a better camera. Okay. Not a need. A huge, enormous, longing want.

Can't wait to see more pics. Congrats!

He is adorable and has lips like cupid! A future priest, huh?

I think the girls will give him a run for his money until then.

Oh - forgot to ask - when is YOUR B-Day?

An ISO of 6400?!? I'm probably going to have to tell my confessor about this, but I'm quite jealous (my camera gets anxious at 800 and goes apoplectic at 1600).

All that aside, have fun breaking in the 50D (I'll be waiting to see what kind of images come out of it).
