Annual Blessing of the Streets

Fr. John incensing the Respect Life Ministry altar in French Park.

And St. Joseph got the front page of the Orange County Register, baby! See here for a slide show done by the paper. I am proud to be part of St. Joseph Church, my funkeh little parish in el barrio.

Bear-u-tiful!

Does my heart good to see this...and the OC Register actually did a write up! YEAH!

We were all wrapped up in winter coats and sweaters here, processed the whole long way from the parish hall to the sanctuary, in sub-freezing winds.

Fr. Scott dedicated the mass to the unborn....then preached a scathing retort against the blaspheme and heresy of Kate Ragsdale's statements about abortion being a blessing.

The windows were rattling.

We know Fr. Moneypenny is cool, and all the cool priests wear sunglasses.

Father is very handsome! And warm sunshine--unlike Utah--what a beautiful day--great pictures.

Okay, I know that I am commenting late and that perhaps no one will ever read this post, but can no one spell any more? In the link to the OC picture slideshow, they refer to the palms as "decretive."

Now, there actually IS such a word as "decretive". It means "relating to a decree". The word they want is "decorative". The palms pictured are beautiful and folded; hence, they are "decorative".
