Nurse Martha (and the Mother o' TIM) sent me an email today, forwarding me another frothing missive from the feminist harpies who are convinced that the AntiChrist walks the Earth with the face of Sarah Palin.
I won't reproduce the email here, but it is one of those poorly-written, hysterical scrives that is circulating, although this one comes courtesy of the blog, Women Against Sarah Palin. But don't be a hater, 'cause it's not about that:
We want to clarify that we are not against Sarah Palin as a woman, a mother, or, for that matter, a parentof a pregnant teenager, but solely as a rash, incompetent, and altogether devastating choice for Vice President. Ms. Palin's political views are in every way a slap in the face to the accomplishments that our mothers and grandmothers and great-grandmothers so fiercely fought for, and that we've so demonstrably benefited from.
It's not about hating Sarah, it's just that . . . she's not one of us. See? You're just not a woman unless you tow the liberal line. And you know, I reeeeeallllyyyy don't think these women were going to vote for McCain anyway, and really were planning on voting for Obama, because would that not be the way to fight against Sarah? Writes Erica G., age 30:
I am the great, great niece of Margaret Sanger who was a birth control activist and started the American Birth Control League. She was ahead of her time at the turn of the 20th century. I refuse to allow this flippant choice of a national voice, a single voice, catapult us back an entire century and erase the work of Sanger and all who followed.
If Margaret Sanger's work had been promulgated, Barack Obama would not be alive today. Think about that, Erica.
But now the real reason to hate Sarah Palin is revealed - because Lindsay Lohan said so! But again, she's not a hater:
I feel it's necessary for me to clarify that I am not against Sarah Palin as a mother or woman. Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies... And its frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that. Oh, and...Hint Hint Pali Pal- Don't pose for anymore tabloid covers, you're not a celebrity, you're running for office to represent our, your, my COUNTRY!
"Hint Hint Lindsay Lame" - YOU'RE not a political analyst, so stop trying to be one. It is not Palin putting herself on any cover but the media that gives you relevance . . . and can just as easily take it away.
Do they not realize that any person who provides even a nanosecond of consternation to the Mother o' TIM while TIM is percolating within earns my undying wrath?
