Song: Summertime Rolls (live version)
Artist: Jane's Addiction
Why I Like It I consider the album Nothing's Shocking by this band to be one of the finest examples of alternative music. It was 1989 and I was living in Bienne, Switzerland. I listened to this album constantly, living in my funky apartment in the old stadt by the church tower, then popping down to the Rotonde for a glass of wine and perhaps some hash on a warm summer night. I am older now and don't indulge in such past times, but whenever I listen to this album one more time, I'm under thirty and walking down Zentralstrasse again . . . il court, il court, le furet . . .

this was the soundtrack of my sophmore year in college. I listened to this while painting dorms over that summer for campus maintainence... it paid well and we were mostly unsupervised. ahhhh... carefree youth.
Isnt it funny how mucsic can recall distant memories and let you relive them anew.
