Yesterday, I went to Disneyland in the company of two fine and outstanding gentlemen for a "Disney Day Without Kids." What a delight! Not only did we enjoy the park, but the day flowed with easy conversation, ranging from the silly (flagrant abuses of liturgical dance) to the serious (what are those Anglicans doing at the Lambeth Council?). I enjoyed my time being with Fr. John Moneypenny and Fr. Ed Becker as both are class acts and smart as whips. Long lines for a ride seem short when the company is good and yes, you will get wet on Splash Mountain! Thanks, guys, for a fun day! We must plan another such outing when The Haunted Mansion transforms itself for Halloween.
And yet, I was speaking to opposing counsel on a case of mine earlier in the day, and this attorney said she found the idea of adults going to Disneyland without the accompaniment of children to be creepy. I don't think Uncle Walt would agree . . .
