. . . because I couldn't find a decent cilice in my size.
One of the best catchers ever. Hall of Fame first ballot.
Yeah, but a Met, Walter.
He was a Dodger for a long time. Don't know why they let him go. He was arguably the best hitting catcher that has played the game.
I'm gonna guess and say . . . more money in NYC?
Nobody goes negative on Mike Piazza. I fear your time in Purgatory has at least doubled. I pity you.God Bless,A New York Met fan.
The new ownership did not like him Read the Article After the trade that sent Piazza to the Marlins and then he was quickly traded to the Mets, the Dodgers let their Manager and GM go.
He's one of the players featured prominently in the "Champions of Faith" DVD that came out a year or so ago - profiles of Catholic baseball players. It's an inspiring DVD.
IT sucks, he was a really great catcher...unfortunately the Dodgers (although I'm a Seattle fan myself) in esscence let him go in that trade with the Marlins.First ballot hall of famer for sure.As well as being a practicing Catholic scores bonus points. He talked I think it was on EWTN Life on the Rock about how himself and Mike Sweeny (another one of the good guys) might become deacons after retirement.
