Good for them! I knew families this large back in New York - heck, one Irish waitress in my neighborhood was one of 22 children by the same set of parents. I have read a lot of crtiticism of the Duggars, but here is how I see it:
- They are not breaking any laws.
- They are not living on welfare.
- They are welcoming of each new addition.
- It's their own damn business.
God bless 'em! I only wish they were Catholic . . .
Update: Okay, I got to say this just for the alliteration . . .
Dem dang Duggars doin' dat dirty deed!

That's about the sum of it for me too. I can't for the life of me understand all the vitriol that gets directed toward them.
Good for them! When walking into church and seeing an entire pew filled with one family--I think it's great--more beautiful Catholic children--bring back large familes!
I get a kick out of watching the specials too. though I have to say I have "creep out" reservations on how all the girls are clad in those long clunky dresses all the time. Ewwww!!! But, whatever.
And I have to say, I hope one day at least one of them smokes some cigarettes behind the barn or something. Their tastes are so uniform that's a little odd to my mind. Most big families are know are interesting, because of all the different hobbies, interests, etc.
I expect with a family that large you need some regimentation, otherwise there'd be chaos, but I long for the day one of them says "You know, I think I'm going to go down to the corner and hang out with my friends rather than sing twinkle, twinkle, little star" with the group.
Oh, and then there's that "all our kids have the same first initial" barf=o=rama moment....
Okay, I'll admit it, they give me the creeps more than I thought! [And it's *NOT* the number of kids....)
