Obscure Music Friday

Okay, kids, this is a song that you get up, you walk over and close your office door, and then you blast and dance around. Men, if you are wearing a tie, take it off and tie it around your forehead. Priests, be a rebel and wear your collar loosely . . .
Artist: Deee Lite
Why I Like It: First of all, it's a great dance song - you can't help but feel totally psychedelic and want to frug your day away when you hear it. This was a hot, hot song in the early 90's at all the dance clubs, both here and abroad. It's fun, it's hip, it's deeelightful. I want to be Lady Miss Kier, the lead singer, and wear fabulous go-go boots!
And it's got Bootsy! Bootsy!!!

Damn, girl, this is fly. I don't know what I was doing when this came out, but it's a good thing I didn't hear it when it did, because I would have gotten NOTHING done for the national defense on any day I heard it.

[BTW, in high school, all the cool priests used to take that collar insert thing off and put it in their top shirt pocket.]

Ohhhhh yeeeaaaaahhhhh.....Madame Kier, her boots, and her 'do.....one of my all time faves on the iPod! The eldest and I groove around the living room to that one every so often.

I got one for ya - "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day" (Morcheeba). Quite literally the song I heard all over the radio when I first went to Rome.
