I Have To Do This

St. Lawrence[1] and St. Patrick[2], I ask you to intercede on behalf of the New York Giants today. May your prayers bring them to victory and secure for them a defeat against the New England Patriots. May your prayers bring safety to them so that they can play without injury. May your prayers make strong the arm of Eli Manning and keen his eye. We ask this and everything through our Lord, Jesus Christ. (+)
[1] Why St. Lawrence? He died on the gridiron, didn't he?
[2] Patron saint of the Archdiocese of New York, New York . . . start spreadin' the news!

I second the motion! And remember, dear God, the people keep voting for Ted Kennedy, also root for New England. Could you please SMITE them? Just this once? You're getting out of practice.

I liked when at the end, they were interviewing this big black Giant's player--and he said he couldn't have done it without God, that he attended church every Sunday, and then got down on one knee in a prayer of thanksgiving--and cried--he knew God gave him his talent--That was the best part of the game!
