Carl Karcher, the founder of Carl's Jr., has died at the age of 90. A successful businessman, a loving family man, and a devout Catholic. This might be sacrilegious to some Southern Californians, but I have always held that Carl's Jr. made a better hamburger than In-N-Out (And Fr. John, if you see this and beg to differ, where, sir, did you obtain your Western Bacon Cheeseburger yesterday? I rest my case.).
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. (+)
