. . . let me distance myself and many of my colleagues from scumbags like Jay Grodner, whose story was brought to my attention by Ma Beck over at World Wide Ward. Unfortunately, this a**hole is a lawyer, which makes this story even more infuriating to me since I too practice law and attempt to do so with integrity and ethics.
What Dips**t Grodner did was decide to take a little anti-war protest into his own hands and key the parked car of a US Marine on the eve of the Marine's deployment to Iraq. As fate would have it, the Marine was exiting the building when he caught this roach in the act and called the police. I invite you to read the posting at Ma Beck's blog, rather than reproduce it here.
This happened in Chicago. I recently had the opportunity to work jointly with the firm of Rinella & Rinella in Chicago on a family law case and I am pleased to say that they are top-notch and professional, especially their one attorney, Nicole Onorato. Just so you know, that city is not devoid of good attorneys and it is a sad day when a piece of work like Jay Grodner makes the news.
My outrage is exacerbated by the fact he is an attorney and pulled this s**t. Where is Atticus Finch when you need him?
