Today is November 16, 2007. It is the Friday before Thanksgiving. All across California, the smell of fear pervades.
Tonight, at 6:00 p.m., literally thousands of law students will find out whether they have passed the bar examination. At the stroke of 6 o'clock - and no time sooner - they will enter their ID number and password at the state bar's website and hit ENTER. The little hourglass will appear and they will wait. And wait. And wait. Until a separate screen pops up with the news that either their name is found on the list of successful examinees . . . or not. It can take mere seconds or it can take a minute or so, as so many people are logging in and hitting that ENTER key at the same time. Seconds that feel like a lifetime . . .
God bless you, children - hope to see you in Court sometime soon.

I remember taking the Nursing boards--it was very scary--but what a relief when I passed. All my friends also passed. Could you imagine how horrible it would be to not pass--I would have died--instantly!
