Secret Agent Man in "Code: Pink Eye"

This morning my son woke up with pink eye, affording him a day off from schoo. I took him to the pharmacy to get his eyedrops that had been prescribed by his pediatrician and there he persuaded me to buy him a pair of shades. After getting home, he went upstairs and changed into his suit - as he told me, he wanted to play "James Bond."

So, the name is Richer . . . Patrick Richer.

TOO cute!

I have to admit, the first thing I thought of was not Bond, but the Blues Brothers.

"We're on a mission from God."

They're even Catholic!!! ;-)

Oh my! You better watch out, he will have all sorts of girls chasing him--but of course his name is Richer....Patrick Richer.

Patrick is blessed with what I call "Disney" cuteness - he's got a big, round Polish head (when he was 2 my mother and I thought about dressing him up as a miniature Pope JPII for Halloween) and big, blue eyes.

When our daughter, Katherine, was born, my husband used to joke by rocking her while repeating, "Boys are bad, men are evil. Boys are bad, men are evil . . ." Then when Patrick was born, my joke was to do the same, saying, "No woman is good enough. No woman is good enough . . ."

My fantasy is this: In the future, I'm checking my emails and I am delighted to see that Dr. Katherin sends her love and is doing splendidly as a resident at Bellvue Hospital in NYC, while Fr. Patrick, after completing his studies at Steubenville, is being sent to Rome as a young priest in recognition of the theological brilliance. *Sigh*

Ooh - so my enormous head is a result of my Polish blood? WOOHOO! I finally have an explanation!!!

(My mother got tired of everyone teasing me and actually pulled out a tape measure at a family get-together once. My cousin had the largest head, and then my mother and I were close seconds. Unfortunately, it didn't do much to shut up the ones doing the teasing, as they all had dainty little normal heads...)

BTW, Digi, I forgot one of the very best prayers for when one is short on patience...

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the restraint to not choke the living **** out of some idiot who desperately needs it."

;-)

Leave the poor kid alone! Isn't it bad enough to embarras him in public, but to do it in the blogsphere? Its almost as embarrassing as cleaning dirt off the face with spit and Kleenex!
From one who's been there...

Those can't be mine. My brothers claimed I was "found in the trash bin behind Goodwill in Tiajuana".

I thought big round "Polish heads" meant you just had alot of brain--the bigger the head--the bigger the brain--hmmm--the smarter you are?
