I am sitting by the computer tonight, planning the itinerary for the DigiFamily's 2006 Summer Vacation, that will take me, the DigiSpouse, and the DigiSpawn into Tennessee.
One thing I always look forward to when I travel is attending Sunday Mass at another parish. Since rather than staying in downtown Chattanooga proper, we're staying near the Chickamauga battlefield, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. I went looking to see where we would worship that Sunday and found a beautiful church less than one mile away.
St. Gerard Majella - Established as a mission by the Redemptorists in 1948, St. Gerard became a parish in 1952 named after a Redemptorist brother who lived in the 1700s. The Colonial-style church building was originally an interdenominational chapel at Fort Oglethorpe.
Anyone out there with in-de[th knowledge about what to do in Nashville/Chattanooga/Knoxville? We're doing a BIG triangle, starting in Nashville, ehading south, then up north, and west again.
